Hullo world

Welcome to my very first post on this blog. I hope it will prove to be a fun experience and an outlet for my desire to share some ideas of what can be done with the wonderful Stampin' Up products.

The first card I would like to show you is one using one of the new 2013-2015 In Colors, Coastal Cabana. It is the loveliest shade of green- so soft. My mission today is to see what can be done with this cardstock and what it will team with.

First up its a monochrome design. It looks very soft and is dead easy to do.

Supplies
  • Coastal Cabana (A4 sheet cut in half)
  • Whisper White cardstock 12cm X 8cm
  • Ink- Versamark, Coastal Cabana
  • Stamp sets- Fabulous Florets, Itty Bitty Banners
  • Other- Bitty Banners Framelit die, Dimensionals, white embossing powder, sponge.
  • Big Shot
Technique
  1. Stamp the solid flower stamp a few times and then fill in spaces with the larger open flower. Dry it well. Use the embossing buddy over the design.
  2. Stamp the leaves and stem stamp a few times with versamark and emboss using white embossing powder.
  3. When dry sponge lightly with Coastal Cabana ink around the design and extra around the edges.
  4. Stamp the sentiment and cut out with the die.

Next up, what about Coastal Cabana and Tempting Turquoise. This again is very easy and has a very clean, simple look to it.

  • Inks- Tempting Turquoise
  • Stamp sets- Sassy Salutations and Flock Together
  • Delicate Designs Embossing folder, Big Shot, pearl, fancy button with thin strip pf turquiose card in holes.
Technique
  1. Emboss one end of the white cardstock.
  2. Attach the turquoise strip.
  3. Stamp the sentiment. Stamp the picture.
  4. Mount onto the turquoise matt
  5. Mount onto base.
