For All Things

Love this set. I wish we had more of an Autumn in Australia. I cased this first one from Vicky Hayes. So simple. It is Very Vanilla cardstock and the leaves are in Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Hello Honey and the pinenuts are Soft Suede.
Not sure if I cased this one as well. Same colours as above plus Cajun Craze. Perfect colours for autumn. There are so many wonderful cards on Pinterest using this set its hard not to copy!
I did case the following one from Sandiharta@sandilovesstamping.com. Love this set!
Elegant Eggplant sets off the following one beautifully. This time I used Elegant Eggplant, Hello Honey ad Old Olive for the leaves. The beautiful lace is Sahara sand lace.
I don't think I like the Pumpkin Pie cardstock in this but I embossed it with Brick wall embossing folder. The sentiment and flowers are from this set.

Love this set!

Awesomely Artistic

Another very useful and pretty set. The large floral image can be used as an outline stamp in black, embossed in white or stamped with the new Archive black ink which is waterproof and watercoloured or coloured with markers. I am loving the new wooden sentiments. These can be used raw as I have done here or pressed into any coloured ink pad to colour it whatever you like. The 3 sentiments it comes in are thanks, celebrate and congrats.
The background was made by inking up my brayer with one end in Calypso Coral and the other in Delighful Daffodil. I didn't like the result but then I turned it the other way and I liked to look. Once it was dry I embossed the images in white.
All the images were first embossed in white. Then I brayered in Soft Sky and then sponged Lost Lagoon around the edge. Sentiment comes from Wetlands.
In this one I embossed the images from Serene Silhouettes and Awesomely Artistic in black and then I brayered So Saffron over the card. I then masked off for the sun using a circle punch and a post it note. Then I brayered Delight Delight down 2/3 of the card and then lastly Crushed Curry at the top. I sponged some soft suede at the bottom and removed the post it note.
The new a Mint Macaroon cardstock stamped in the same colour. The sentiment is from Celebrate Today.
The one above is lovely and delicate. The images were stamped in Sahara Sand. Flowers were coloured with Pink Pirouete using a blender pen. Pink Pirouette was used as a Matt and the card base was Sahara Sand as was the ribbon. Sentiment is from Happy Happenings.
This was cased from Chantal de Kaste. The images were stamped in Black and the dots in Sahara Sand. The card is Sahara Sand. Such an easy and effective card.
This was cased from Dawn Olchefske. Images were stamped in Marina Mist and Mint Macaroon. Some images were stamped off. The lower portion was then sponged lightly with Mint Macaroon. The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics.
The Brick wall embossing folder again forms the background. This time the debossed side was sponged lightly with Sahara Sand. Highlights in Cajun Craze ( remove most of colour first on scrap paper). Image was stamped over the embossing and coloured with Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzaz markers. Lovely big greeting is from Happy Birthday Everyone.

Another play with stamps from Kinda Eclectic. I embossed the sun in gold over the leaves stamped in Old Olive. The flowers were punched in gold using the Petite Petals punch and the greeting is from The New Two set. The panel was then matted in Old Olive.

The lovely Pretty Petals DSP stack was used in this card. The card base and Matt is Mint Macaroon. I coloured the flowers with the Mint Macaroon marker. So easy!

Brick Wall embossing folder

Love this new embossing folder. Here I brayered the debossed side in Sahara Sand. The flower is from Butterfly Basics and I coloured it using a blender pen and Calypso Coral ink. The lovely lace is Sahara Sand lace. The sentiment is from Happy Happenings.
This time I sponged the debossed side in Sahara Sand and added Cajun Craze highlights with a sponge. I sponged off most of the excess ink first. The flowers are from Awesomely Artistic and I coloured them with a Calypso Coral marker. The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Everyone.
Love this large image from Remarkable You. I just stamped it in Early Expresso and added some So Saffron ink with a dauber in the middle.

Another of the large images from this set.

This was cased from Beate@stempelomi. The cardstock was first stamped with the images from Sunmer Silhouettes. The blossoms are Rich Razzleberry and the leaves Old Olive. The stems are Mossy Meadow. I then embossed it and very lightly sponged with Sahara sand. The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics.

More on Acrylic block stamping

I inked up the acrylic block with So Saffron inkpad in the middle, then Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze at the top and Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive at the bottom. Just carefully swipe the pad across the block. Spritz the block 3 times from about 8 inches away and place firmly down on Whisper White cardstock. Hold down firmly and you will see the ink' crack' as the ink is absorbed into the cardstock. The image is from World of Dreams. The sentiment is from Blessed by God. The lovely fine gold cord is in the new Occasions catalogue

Same colours in this one. I kept the block straight once I wet it in this one so the colours are more in lines. The one before I tipped it around a little to blend the colours.

For lots more ideas on acrylic block stamping go to my previous posts. Have fun.

Birthday Blossoms

Orange is not one of my favourite colours but I really like how this card in Pumpkin Pie turned out. I used some retired DSP for the card front. The image is from Birthday Blossoms. It's a bit hard to see from the photo but the flower on the right of the card has been punched with the Pansy punch, the two leaves cut out and all raised on dimensionals. The centre of the flower is punched with the smallest circle punch. Plain Pumpkin Pie was adhered to the top portion of the Whisper White and then the left hand corners were rounded. The new wonderful Triple Banner punch was used to cut the sentiment from Birthday Blossoms.
Don't you just love the Sky Blue against the Sahara Sand. I haven't used that combination before. The sentiment is from Blessed By God and the flowers are from Flower shop and punched with the Pansy Punch. I inked them with a combination of Marina Mist, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede using the Baby Wipe technique. More on that in another blog. The daisies were cut using a die from Flower Fair framelits.
Calypso Coral layered on the new Tip Top Taupe is the basis of this card. A piece of Burlap ribbon was used and flowers cut from a DSP in the new Pretty Petals DSP stack. The leaves were stamped from Birthday Blossoms and then cut by hand. The idea of using the Burlap was cased from Dawn Olchefske.

The card front was embossed with the new Brick Wall embossing folder. The design was cased from http:karentitus.com/winning-Stampin-up-handmade-cards-tour/. The sentiment is from Birthday Blossoms as are the leaves. The flower was made from Elegant Eggplant cardstock which had been punched using a scallop punch and then petals were made by carefully cutting in towards the centre. The oval die was used to cut the sentiment and the next size as a Matt for the sentiment. The new thick Whisper White cardstock was used for the card base. This is soooooo much better for card bases than using the normal thickness!

A beautiful card cased from Claire Daly. Elegant Eggplant against white is always pretty. Birthday Blossoms was used for the flowers, leaves and sentiment. The flowers were punched with the Pansy Punch and leaves were cut by hand. The Whisper White card front was scored using the Simply Scored tool and a pearl was used in each corner.

Brayering Fun

In preparation for a workshop on brayering I spent lots of time exploring old and new techniques. I used to do quite a bit of brayering but it took me a while to remember how to do it well. There are lots of videos on YouTube about different techniques. A good one to start with is here

The one above was cased from Michelle Zindorf who is the guru of Brayering. Check out her cards on the net.
The one above is cased from Lilian Withers. It is so pretty. Check out her video on YouTube on the technique
Stamps above are from World of Dreams and the sentiment is from Bravo.
Nest stamp is from World of Dreams and the sentiment is from Happy Birthday Everyone.
Another one cased from Michelle Zindorf.
The next two are examples of using the brayer to ink up the inside of the front of the embossing folder. This is the new Boho Chic folder.
The next three are cased from Michelle as well
I cased the card above as well but I just cannot find where from. I must start being more organised!

This final card is cased from Michelle Zindorf too. The lighter colour is brayered or sponged first and then using the edge of a large post it note and starting from corner to corner you sponge a slightly darker colour in a straight line along the edge. Move the post it note slightly and re do. This can be used either for moonlight or Sun rays.

Back on board

It is an age since I have posted something on this blog. It has taken a bit of time to get back to crafting after our long UK trip earlier this year. A new grandson and lots of commitments to catch up with has meant reduced time to play. But hopefully now I can get back on track.

The new catalogue came out while I was away. I checked it out online but I wasn't as excited as normal and I wasn't sure if it was the catalogue or my interest was waning. Since getting back into it however I have found lots to get excited about.

The new colours were a bit of a disappointment at first as I am not a big fan of bright colours. But once I saw what others were doing with them I changed my mind.

Loving the new Triple Banner punch. All these banners were stamped with this. New colours are Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Delightful Dijon.
Tree is from the Tree Builder Punch and the tag is from the Tags and Labels thinlit dies set.
Great new kids stamp set. No Bones About it. Lots of bold dinosaurs. More to come in this great set.
The one above is cased from Mary Fish. I just love her cards. Really starting to like the new colours.

Background was made from the stamp set Crazy about you and the sentiment was stamped from Happy Notes.

One of my favourites- Zoo Babies in the new colours.

This was cased from alystamps.com. The stamp set is Celebrate Today. Love the look of the Tip Top Taupe cardstock.

Yes I have decided I like the new colours now!
