Floral Affection

Some more cards using the 2 small embossing folders called Floral Affection.

This first layered card uses Whisper White card base which was stamped with Soft Sky using the new Diagonal Stripe background stamp. Soft sky card was then layered over the card base and the floral image was embossed and the debossed side was watercoloured lightly with Soft Sky and Pear Pizzaz. This was attached over a square of Vellum cardstock. White wool was wrapped around the layers before attaching to the card base. Sentiment is from the Designer Tin of Cards.

The second of the embossing folders in this set. It makes a great surround for a bold sentiment. Night of navy cardstock. So simple and so elegant.

This other layered card is similar to the first one but uses Mint Macaron, a Stampin' Up doily and some wool.

Floral Phrases set again with Calypso Coral and Washi tape and Night of Navy and Whisper White.

So much fun

More Floral Details cards

Still playing with these elegant dies. Branched out into colours other than navy finally!

This first one is Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. I used the bigger of the dies and made sure there was a border around the die when I cut it. I then attached it to a Very Vanilla Matt which I then matted onto a Sahara Sand card base. Sentiment is from Floral phrases. How elegant!

The next one uses Chocolate Chip for the Matt and Very Vanilla for the card and for the card front. The sentiment is from Birthday Blossoms and the embossing is from the new Floral affection embossing folder and the ribbon is Very Vanilla seam binding.

This time Real Red and Very Vanilla. Sentiment is from Rose Wonder.

Love this die set.

Floral Affection

I received this set when I was Onstage and I wasn't that excited. But I have enjoyed playing with it and have found it to be a nicely balanced set. It is great for watercoloring, outline stamping and building up of images for a background. This first one uses Watermelon Wonder cardstock with a black underlayer. The panel is watercolour paper. I stamped the images in Archival black ink and watercoloured the flowers with diluted Watermelon Wonder and Emerald Envy. The flower centres are Daffodil Delight.

The one below is an Early Expresso card base and Crumb Cake card front. I stamped the images in Early Expresso but it looked a bit flat so I used a white gel pen inside the flower images and was very pleased with the difference it made. I added a Crumb Cake strip on which I stamped the dotted border from the Mixed Borders stamps and a Very Vanilla strip. The sentiment is also from Mixed Borders, another free set I got from Onstage.
I stamped the images in black Archival ink and then used an aqua painter to colour the images with four of the new in colours. The new Emerald Envy Ruched ribbon finished off the card. Sentiment is from Floral Phrases. I used a Wink of Stella to give it some glimmer. It was hard to capture in the photo.

Love the new 2 piece small embossing folders which partner with this stamp set. It is called Floral Affection. I embossed the image and then gently sponged it with Pink Pirouette. The card base was Dapper Denim and the card front was Sweet Sugar Plum. The sentiment is from the Love and Affection set. The ribbon was leftover Sahara Sand I had previously soaked in Cherry Cobbler ink. It matched almost perfectly.
A few random cards I have made using the new colours.

I will be putting in an order at the beginning of July so let me know if anyone would like something from my online store. Happy crafting!

Love these new colours

Irrestibly Floral speciality DSP was the perfect medium to show off four out of five of the new 'in colours', Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. A final spritz with water and Perfect Pearls gave it a soft shimmery look. Finished it off with Emerald Envy Ruched ribbon and the sentiment was from the Thoughtful Banners bundle.

I used the Peekaboo Peach and then sponged Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum together to make this interesting burnt orange colour. Sentiment is so from Butterfly Basics. The Tags and Labels framelits were used on the sentiment and I stamped and cut out the butterfly from the Grateful Bunch.

Fun, fun, fun.

Lots of stripes

The new Diagonal Stripe background is going to be a useful tool I think. I carried on with my navy obsession and made a quick card using the retired hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone.

I had a lovely time with the new 'in colours' with this card. I clear embossed the Diagonal Stripe stamp and then randomly sponged with Pekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. I overlapped the colours a fair bit and this made all sorts of new interesting colours. After I was happy with the look of it I spritzed it lightly with a little water containing a small amount of Rangers Perfect Pearls. This gave it a gorgeous shimmery look although this doesn't show up real well in the photo.

I stamped one way and then turned it and stamped at right angles, creating a plaid look. Love the new Emerald Envy Ruched ribbon although I am not sure if I would have preferred the monotone look of all navy. Floral phrases stamped set again. The cardstock is Crumb cake.

Yes I think this background stamp is going to get a bit of use. Love making my own backgrounds.

Hope this rain is making you feel like crafting!
