Blendabilities Rock!

These would have to be the most exciting new item in the catalogue I think! I have tried many different methods to add colour to outline stamps but I could never get it to blend successfully. The aqua painter and blender pen worked fine on small designs but you really needed watercolour paper for anything else as the Whisper White cardstock seem to rub up if you applied the amount of water needed to blend the inks.

So when I tried out Stampin' Up's new Blendabilities I was excited! I watched one of the many video clips on the web and it seemed rather impossible to stuff up. And this is exactly what I found.

All he se first few use the Secret Garden stamp set. I am sorry this wasn't continued in the new catalogue as it is so versatile and great to use with Blendabilities. I embossed the design in white on Crumb Cake as well as the daisy down in the corner. I used Coastal Cabana, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities. I layered the yellow flower ( to hide an 'oops moment') and the centres of the other two. I experimented with different amounts of 'fill'. I outlined the flowers in Smokey Slate.

 

This one uses Very Vanilla for the card base. I stamped the images, coloured them with the Blendabilities and then laid 2 of the Labels collection dies over the design and ran it through the bigshot

Rich Razzleberry again with Old Olive Blendabilities for the leaves.

Pleasant Poppies are another great set to colour with blendabilities. They seen to work quite well on coloured card as well as Whisper White. I used Bermuda Bay for the card base and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities and Matt

 

 

 

This is the Cherry Cobbler and the Pleasant Poppies background stamp again.

 

 

You can use the Pleasant Poppies in so many ways. It looks great just using a portion of it. This time I used the new in colours of Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow for the cardstock and the Daffodil Blendabilities for the image.

 

 

Another new in colour for the card base- Lost Lagoon. The Rich Razzleberry

Blendabilities were used on the big flower.
