Oh my goodness the new Detailed Floral dies are gorgeous to work with. They work like a dream.... though I think because of the intricate detail they may not be quite so easy without the recommended Precision Plate. Also I did end up purchasing the new Stampin' Up Sizzix platform which has been improved and I think that made a real difference to making sure all of the design was cut through. Great video here on this new platform and also use of the precision plate.
Another part of this suite of products is the co-ordinating Floral Phrases stamps, which Is quickly becoming a favourite set. The floral image is just so elegant. It has a variegated tone which gives it interest and depth.
This first one is an engagement card for the daughter of some good friends. I used the off cut between the two dies for the solid bit. Seemed a shame to throw it away. I just trimmed the pointy bit that didn't line up
So simple and so elegant. At the bottom was some Navy Washi tape and a strip of Night of Navy cardstock. Love the way this floral image stamps.
This time I stamped under the sentiment with the great border stamp in this set and then used a strip of the Washi tape and a few runs of the Navy Bakers twine.
I cut a card front using the 2 dies- at top and bottom. I then attached a sheet of Vellum cardstock behind the cad front which gives a beautiful transparent look. It's difficult to photograph this card to show the lovely translucent look to this card. All the sentiments on this page come from this set.
Great words and elegant font.
The following one uses the smaller diecut and again the Washi tape. Sentiment again from this set.
This last one uses the new Diagonal Stripe background stamp in Night of Navy, with a contrast strip of Navy. The sentiment is from a retired hostess set. I used Very Vanilla for the cardstock this time
.
Must move on. So much more to play with!
