Basic card design template

Today I am looking at two very basic card designs which would be great for a novice card maker to try. Both of them require a piece or two of Stampin' Up designer paper and a piece of cardstock. It can be dressed up or left very plain depending on the type of card desired. Ribbon and other embellishments could be added to jazz it up. This design is a great springboard to more complex cards.

The first example has the stamped image and the sentiment on the front panel. This is attached with dimensionals to the designer paper matt underneath and a punched butterfly is used as an embellishment.

This second example also has designer paper as a matt but this time instead of an image a contrast scrap of paper is matted and mounted with dimensionals. How simple is this! The sentiment is stamped, punched and mounted.  Both these designs could easily be prettied up with ribbon etc.

So if you are new to cardmaking why not start with this basic template and see where it leads!!

If you would like any of these products you can purchase them through Stampin' Up. Just email me on kcrocker56@optusnet.com.au

Happy crafting!
