Oh my gosh this stamp set is unbelievable. It is the new photopolymer type and it took a bit of practice to get it stamping well as it is a different feel when stamping. Also I seem to have more of a tendency to end up smearing ink than with the other types of stamps. But with practice I have improved and I just love the results.
This first one was inspired by a video I found on the web by Anya from Orphelia crafts http://youtu.be/sz9P_RvKUu4
If you follow along with her instructions I found it a great tool to actually do the wreath she demonstrated as it helped me to improve my photopolymer technique. This was my attempt. It is too big I feel for a card but I thought I might frame it for the wall.
It took me a couple of goes to get the masking to work without having huge blanks next to the mask. I found making the mask from Whisper White cardstock cut with the dies and slipping the mask back off the image a little improves the ugly gap that can occur when using a mask. But watch the video as it is an excellent tutorial.
This next card was inspired by the colours and stamps Anya used in the wreath.
The colours are Rich Razzleberry and Hello Honey for the flower bases. The centres are Blackberry Bliss for the Razzleberry flowers and Rich Razzleberry for the Hello Honey ones. Mossy Meadow was used for the leaves.
Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow again. Playing around with simple stamping and Stamping off techniques. I scored a few lines at the bottom with the Simply Scored tool.
More random stamping. This time Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey and Island Indigo. The sentiment is from the new Hey You set which is earning it's keep. I like this set as the sentiments are a bit bigger but still fit in the oval punch if you want to use this with it.
This is cased from http://youtu.be/164TBbvnUEI. I love it's simplicity and how quick it is to make. It's so easy to line things up with these clear stamps.
This is a great set to just sit down with a few different colours and play. Lost Lagoon, Rich Razzleberry ( for some of the flower centres) and Mossy Meadow and Hello Honey were used here.
Same colour combinations. Not sure why the top flower looks orange. I think I must have had some Razzleberry on the stamp? The bottom of the Hello Honey card is scored.
Another cased card. This time from Brenda Keenan at http://www.keenankreations.com/blog
I always seem to have to use a new stamp with the Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Expresso combination. Just love those colours together! The sentiment comes from Bloom with Hope. I made the frame from the Square collections of thinlit dies.
Another cased card. It was cased from Helen Cryer http://diningroomdrawers.blogspot.com.au
This one uses the dies to cut out the images. Gives a great sense of dimension.
Oh dear I have certainly borrowed a lot of creativity with this set! This was was cased from Candace Gillepsie at http://youtu.be/li1KDwK_VUc
It was done using White Craft ink on black cardstock and finished off with pearls. Very simple.
I have made many of these as thank you cards. Colours are Crisp Canteloupe with Calypso Coral centres. Great design for doing multiple cards quickly. Single layer card. Olive green stems and the sentiment is in Soft Suede.
Blackberry Bliss, Island Indigo, Hello Honey and Old Olive.
This one was cased from http://www.prettyininkstamping.com/2014/06/pretty-flower-patch-stampin-up-card.html
Colours are Coastal Cabana / Bermuda Bay and Crisp Canteloupe/ Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight/ Hello Honey. The leaves are in Wild Wasabi, full strength and stamped off. Don't be afraid to case cards. It's a great way to practice techniques and to develop your own ideas by extending what you see.
Really must go and put this set away and do some work around the place! Hope you are enjoying some creative time.
I love every one of these! I just received my Flower Patch bundle and need all the help I can get!
ReplyDeleteReally nice and simple card! =)
ReplyDeleteThank you. It is a great set to play with! I did struggle a little to get good coverage with the large solid stamp but got there in the end. I am finding it is a slightly different feel to using the photoploymer stamps.
