Here are some of the lovely flowers you can make with the new Stampin' Up Fringed Scissors. It took a bit of trial and error and net surfing to work out some techniques to make flowers with these scissors.
Firstly I used some White Whisper card and some pink paper I found in my stash to simply cut a strip 2-5cm wide, depending on how big you want your flower to be. I tried several different ways of doing these flowers but the best method I found was to run a piece of very narrow double sided tape at the very edge of a long side of the strip. Leave the backing on the tape. Now cut evenly all along the opposite side up to the tape.
When you have finished fringing the strip, remove the backing and use a narrow pencil or paintbrush to carefully roll up the strip. It sticks on itself as it rolls which makes it very secure. Once it is rolled up and before you remove the paintbrush open out the petals on your flower and re arrange the petals until they look right. I found this video very helpful
I had fun doing this one. I fringed 2 strips of green cardstock and chopped into the tops to try to make them look a bit more natural. I ruffled them up a bit like the grass was blowing in the wind.
Try the Fringe scissors - they really are fun. Another good video is here
